Capital Power announces conversion results for its Preferred Shares (Series 3)
Capital Power announced today that after having taken into account all Election Notices following the December 18, 2023 conversion deadline, in respect of the Cumulative Rate Reset Preference Shares, Series 3 tendered for conversion into Cumulative Floating Rate Preference Shares, Series 4, the holders of Series 3 Shares were not entitled to convert their shares.

Capital Power is pleased to announce the closing today of the acquisition by a 50/50 partnership between Capital Power Investments, LLC and an affiliate of a fund managed by BlackRock’s Diversified Infrastructure business of 100% of the equity interests in New Harquahala Generating Company, LLC (the “Harquahala Acquisition”) which owns the 1,092 MW Harquahala natural gas-fired generation facility in Arizona.

Port Dover & Nanticoke Wind
Port Dover and Nanticoke Wind is located on 28,000 acres in Haldimand and Norfolk Counties, Ontario. The facility received its Renewable Energy Approval (REA) from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment on July 17, 2012.
Goreway Power Station – Upgrade Project
Capital Power is proposing equipment upgrades at the Goreway Power Station (GPS). The upgrades will provide operational flexibility and additional electricity generation capacity of approximately 40 MW, which is a 4.5% increase to the total generation capacity of the GPS. The project was submitted to Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) through the Same Technology Upgrades Solicitation.
