New Frontier Wind Landowner Celebration Highlights Importance of Partnership
On June 6, Capital Power team members gathered in North Dakota to celebrate our New Frontier Wind facility, which became operational in December 2018. With bright blue skies and sunny weather, everyone was in good spirits to mark the success of this wind energy project.
The community celebration was an important opportunity for Capital Power to meet with participating landowners and representatives from McHenry County and the town of Velva, and offer our appreciation for their support during this project.
Darcy Trufyn, Senior Vice President, Operations, Engineering and Construction, and Mark Zimmerman, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Commercial Services, joined the festivities to share their appreciation for the community’s support and offer congratulations to the Capital Power teams that executed this project successfully.
“When Capital Power develops projects like New Frontier Wind, we become a neighbour to you and your community, and work hard to earn your trust and respect,” said Darcy. “We’re all very excited about the future of New Frontier Wind and look forward to many years of working together.”
