Celebrating Women in Energy

The contributions of women have impacted every world-changing innovation in our industry. Their perspectives, influence, experience, and skill play a critical role in where we are today, and how we’ll get to where we need to be to achieve a decarbonized energy future.

Women at every level of our company are contributing to our success through delivering reliable and affordable power today while building decarbonized power systems for tomorrow and creating real net zero power solutions. We’re a proud advocate for increasing the representation of women in energy and leadership and understand that this is a key contributor to how we are powering change by changing power.

“Getting to net zero by 2045 is not possible without the contributions and influence of women. Ensuring our voices are heard in every conversation taking place across our company, whether at the boardroom table or on the plant floor, is a necessity for the advancement of a decarbonized energy future.”

Jacquie Pylypiuk, Senior Vice President, Technology & Chief People and Culture Officer

Capital Power recognizes and embraces the benefits of a diverse, equitable and inclusive organization and knows that equal representation of women at all levels of our organization is integral to our success. We’re proud of the diversity of our Board and Executive Team and are committed to increasing the number of women throughout our workforce to ensure we have a pipeline of diverse candidates ready for leadership positions.

“The collective experience and influence of women across our organization are integral to our success as a leader in the energy transition. It is a point of pride for our organization that 50% of our Executive Team is represented by women. Their strategic mindsets and extensive knowledge of our business are critical to how we’re powering change by changing power. It’s encouraging to witness the increasing representation of women in the power industry and their impact in driving innovation and transformation.”
