Neil H. Smith is an experienced chief executive in the independent power, renewables, and infrastructure sectors. Most recently, he served as CEO of Vanguard Renewables, where he led the company’s scaling and successful sale to private equity. Previously, he spent more than 25 years with InterGen, including 11 years as CEO.

Neil is a senior advisor to OMERS, Chair of Leeward Renewable Energy, and a director of Waga Energy, and has previously served on the boards of PJM Interconnect and The Wood Group. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
