Bryan DeNeve became Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer in May 2015. Prior to this, Bryan was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Commercial Services since January 2011 and, previously, Vice President, Business Development.
Bryan led several large developments, acquisitions and divestitures at Capital Power, including the Shepard Energy Centre and Genesee 4 and 5 ENMAX partnership agreements, the Halkirk, Quality, PDN and K2 Wind development projects, the acquisition and subsequent divestiture of three New England assets, and the acquisition of Island Generation.
From 2002 to 2005, Bryan was Vice President, Regulatory Affairs for EPCOR, where he was responsible for the development and execution of regulatory strategies and applications. Prior to joining EPCOR in 1996, Bryan was with the Alberta Department of Energy, where he participated in the development and implementation of the deregulated electricity market in Alberta.
Bryan holds an MBA from the University of Alberta, where he also received his undergraduate degree. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. Bryan serves on the Boards for the Alberta Chamber of Resources, Edmonton Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region.
