Hornet Solar

Construction of the 73 MW Hornet Solar project starts in late August 2024 with targeted commercial operations expected in the second half of 2026. The project is located on approximately 525 acres of privately-owned land in Gaston and Lincoln Counties, North Carolina. Once complete, Capital Power will operate Hornet Solar under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Duke Energy Carolinas.
