
Chris Kopecky
Chris leads Capital Power’s legal, business development and commercial activities across North America. In addition to legal oversight, Chris is responsible for growing our fleet and maximizing the value of our existing assets.
Prior to his current role, he served for 6 years as Vice President, Commercial Services responsible for Capital Power’s business development and commercial management activities in the U.S. During this time and under Chris’s leadership, Capital Power’s U.S. portfolio expanded significantly through the addition of two natural gas assets (Decatur Energy Center and Arlington Valley) and six renewable facilities (Macho Springs Wind, Bloom Wind, Cardinal Point Wind, New Frontier Wind, Buckthorn Wind and Beaufort Solar). Prior to this role, Chris served as Senior Counsel and Associate General Counsel for Capital Power.
