  • Located northwest of Newmarket, Ontario in the Township of King, this facility is the largest quick-response gas-fired plant in Ontario.

  • Commissioned in May 2012, York Energy Centre is a 400-MW natural gas-fired electricity generating facility that provides power during periods of peak demand periods.

  • The facility is fully contracted with the Ontario Independent Electricity System Operator until 2032.
