For the first time, Capital Power has received the “Canada's Top Employers for Young People” award for 2019, an editorial competition that recognizes employers offering the nation's best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers. Winners of the competition are selected by Canada's Top Employers project based on the programs and initiatives they offer to attract and retain younger workers.

"This national recognition demonstrates Capital Power's commitment to attract the best people from a broad talent pool and develop an engaged, high-performing, diverse work force,” said Jacquie Pylypiuk, VP Human Resources. “We’re proud of initiatives such as our annual Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP), partnerships with local high schools and EMOC’s Enrichment program that provide an opportunity for future talent to work with us and to learn about various areas of our company.”
This award recognizes employers that lead the nation in helping college and university graduates make the transition from school to work. In addition to offering great opportunities, these employers have well-established entry-level recruitment programs that offer the best opportunities for ongoing career development and advancement.
