Jacquie Pylypiuk became Vice President, Human Resources in April 2015. Jacquie has overall accountability for leadership of Capital Power’s Human Resources team, which includes the Total Rewards, Talent Management, Business Partner, Labour Relations, and Shared Services functions. Jacquie is also accountable for the Capital Power inspired MORE program, an Edmonton-based mentoring program for women. Prior to being appointed Vice President, Human Resources, Jacquie was Senior Manager, Talent Management. Since joining Capital Power in 2012, she has held other senior roles within the Human Resources team, including Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement, and Senior Manager, Business Partners. Jacquie has over 25 years of experience – seven in audit and assurance in both public practice and internal audit and 19+ years of senior-level human resources experience in professional services, technology, and the public sector. Prior to joining Capital Power, she worked at PwC, Telus, Dell, and the Office of the Auditor General of Alberta. Jacquie is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Human Resources Professional. She received her Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta. She is a past Board Member for Fringe Theatre Adventures and, for the past four years, has devoted much of her volunteer time to leading a School Council committee at her children’s school.
