At Capital Power, we believe a strong start with a new company leads to a strong and productive career.
Strong Start is one of our programs designed to ensure that we engage and enable our employees. It’s innovative, interactive, online and developed to set up our employees for success from their first day of employment.
The main objectives of Strong Start are to:
- Quickly and easily connect new employees to information and people necessary to their job
- Enable employees and hiring managers to create a 100-day plan to begin a quick start to productivity
- Connect our diverse employees through online learning and support
Employees complete two Strong Start e-Learning modules, attend an orientation class, go on a facility tour, and are provided with tools and resources to give them a solid foundation in the company and a quick start to success.
During the orientation class, employees will network, learn more about the company, and interact with our CEO or executive as they share and explain our vision, mission and values.
The Strong Start portal remains a useful source of information as our employees progress with the company.
